Looking Back

Looking back on my yesteryears is one of the things I did today.Remembering all those happy times with my family and friends.while leaving behind the pain, struggles, heartache, and suffering.
Growing up in a small village was difficult and need hardwork. I remember helping my father planting rice on the rice field, gather fire woods, walking kilometers just to fetch gallon of water. Helping my mother washing clothes with hands and staying the whole day on the river while washing clothes at the same time enjoying our time together talking and asking questions. When I was growing up I made a promise to myself that I need to achieved something and help my family. I dont want them to suffer the way I did. I went to study in the university. Scholar at the same time a working student.I worked every saturday cleaning a kindergarten school, On summer time I worked on the field just to earn money and only december I go home to visit my family for 2 weeks. After graduation theres no job. No choice but to go abroad even with out using my credentials. I saluted to all those OFW who leave their family back in the philippines just to earn dollars. Well, thats what I did in order to help my family, sending them to school.I told them and myself that this is my investment. I invest in the life of my sisters. Sending them to school so that can have a better education and get a decent job in the future. Now, I am happily married and a mother to a cute and handsome Isaac. My hubby and my son are the love of my life. I am forever grateful that God had bring me this far. I am thinking that in life there are many choices, many opportunities, and we are responsible and accountable on whatever path to follow.
